Love good for others
لاَ يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يُحِبَّ لأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ
Complete faith includes loving for another person what we love for ourselves.

Islam teaches children to want fairness, happiness and success for others, not only for themselves. This helps remove jealousy and builds generous friendships.

Keep people safe
الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
A Muslim is someone from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.

Words can hurt just as actions can. A child follows this teaching by avoiding insults, rumours, hitting, pushing and harmful online messages.

Speak well or remain quiet
فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ
Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.

Not every thought needs to be spoken. Children can learn to stop before teasing, interrupting or passing on a story that may not be true.

Truth leads to goodness
إِنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْبِرِّ
Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise.

Telling the truth repeatedly builds a truthful character. Even when admitting a mistake feels difficult, honesty creates trust and opens the way to repair it.

Show mercy to children
مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمُ لاَ يُرْحَمُ
The one who does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.

The Prophet taught mercy through his words and his warm treatment of children. Mercy includes patience, comfort, forgiveness and caring when somebody is weaker or upset.

A good word is charity
الْكَلِمَةُ الطَّيِّبَةُ صَدَقَةٌ
A good word is an act of charity.

Cleanliness matters
الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الإِيمَانِ
Purification is half of faith.

This Hadith teaches the great importance of purity. Children can connect it with wudu, clean clothes for prayer, personal hygiene and keeping shared spaces tidy.

A smile can be charity
تَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ
Smiling at another person is counted as charity.

A sincere, respectful smile can welcome someone and make them feel less alone. It should never be used to mock or embarrass another person.

The best have good character

Among the best people are those with the best character.

For a teacher or parent
- Let the child choose one Hadith that stood out.
- Ask the discussion question without suggesting an answer first.
- Create one realistic home or school example together.
- Return to the same Hadith later and ask what the child remembers.
For the learner
- Write the number and title of your chosen Hadith.
- Explain its meaning in your own words.
- Draw or describe a situation where it can be followed.
- Choose one action to practise during the coming week.
